Salsa, Timba, Songo y mas!

Cuban‑born DJ Leydis weaves contemporary hits with a distinctive blend of Latin rhythms, classic R&B, hip‑hop, Afro‑beat, Afro‑Cuban grooves, roots reggae and Timba Cubana. She was part of Cuba’s hip‑hop movement from its beginnings and, since moving to the United States in 2006, has championed the essence of Cuban music.

In the Bay Area she has co‑founded and organized some of the most respected Latin and Cuban music events and community programs. Her collaborations include U.S. artists such as Erykah Badu, Mos Def, El Niño y La Verdad,Danay Suárez, Pedrito Martínez, Cimafunk and many more. In 2016, during President Obama’s administration, she became the first Black Cuban woman DJ invited to the White House, where she brought Cuban urban music to the halls for Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations.
